Who we are and what’s our vision!

Discount Electrical was first formed in 1978 in Blackpool as a small local electrical wholesaler on Lytham Road, Blackpool. The initial vision of providing experience, outstanding customer service and great value are still at the heart of Discount Electrical today.  

Like most of the world the last 6 months in the UK has been unprecedented and at times a rather strange place to be. With the majority of the population being confined to their homes due to Covid-19 restrictions, naturally you start looking around your home and making a list of what or how you would like to improve your home, so for many the lockdown DIY lists and projects started.  

With over 40 years’ experience in electrical wholesale, with an increase of calls and orders for electrical products Discount Electrical launched online with Discountelectrical.com in June to provide the same level of outstanding customer service and value as the original Discount Electrical to consumers and trade professionals alike but now on a national basis.  

At the heart of Discountelectrical.com and one of the most important things for us is an outstanding level of service. We offer free delivery on orders over £50 and through our delivery partners APC Pinpoint once the order is out for delivery a 2-hour delivery time slot is given.  

Our mission is to be the one stop shop for all your electrical needs whether you are a consumer or a trade professional. Discountelectrical.com already stocks and offers a wide range of electrical products that you would expect to find in any electrical wholesaler including all of the popular brands. Our product portfolio is growing daily too, as we are continually adding new products and ranges to help fulfil our mission of a one stop online electrical shop, so you will be able to order all your electrical products from one place in one package!

With our wealth of knowledge and experience within the team we would also be happy to suggest alternative products for you.
